My Favorite Bags of 2014

December 24 2013

Favorites: 2014 Bags

Here's a list of my top handbags for 2014......

1. SS14 Chanel Vanity Case
I saw this bag first in Style.com magazine back cover. I absolutely fell in love. Chanel has simply kept its subtle charm throughout the many years. It has never been out of style with its ballet slipper pinks, metal hardware and quilted diamond pattern. Chanel is forever.

2. SS14 Celine Box Clutch. Celine has been in the handbags of many celebrities, fashion bloggers and many more in the past couple of years. Celine's Box clutch has become a trademark item. I happen to love the baby blue one with gold hardware. It brings in the spring time. A clutch you would bring to a polo match or shopping in Paris. I sure hope Celine will still have great bags when I'm a little older so I can buy one myself!

3. Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag. A couple months ago I was scrolling through www.purseblog.com and there was a post on Kirsten Dunst carrying this bag I had never seen. Now I have seen a lot of bags because I am obsessed like I mean crazy over handbags. I immediately googled the brand "Mansur Gavriel", I clicked on their website and there was the collection. It was very modest and new brand obviously. Very simple but very convient. They have totes, coin purses and bucket bags. Great bags for the weekend or when you need to carry a lot. This bag also comes in beige. Mansur Gavriel will be a huge success! I know it!

4. KARA Backpack. I talked about Sarah Law's new collection on my first post but they doesn't mean I'm still not obsessed. I'm loving the blue trend this season so of course I love this backpack. However, it also comes in black, white, darker blue, pink and different sizes.

3. Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto White and Black crossbody with silver hardware. As her MAC crossbody gained a lot of success, Rebbeca decided to design a new crossbody, The Hudson Moto. It comes in various color such as black, pink, purple, beige, green, multi color and jeweled. The design is more architectural and has many pockets.  The inside is the traditional Minkoff silk black and white. Great every day, all day, all night crossbody.

6. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashili Backpack. Like Celine, Phillip Lim's Pashli tote has been in the hands of many celebs, bloggers and more. The totes have gone really fast and have been selling out everywhere. I first saw the awesome backpack version at the beginning of fall. Phillip Lim is a smart man because I've seen this backpack all over magazines and people. If I had enough money I would totally use this for school. The design is great, big pockets and comes in great colors.  Keep up the good work Phillip Lim!

7. Givenchy Pandora Small Box Bag. With Givenchy's new designs lot of people have been excited over the new bags. Of course the original Pandora with the rugged leather and the Nightingale are great but I'm loving the new sleek Pandora, Antigona in pink and the Antigona large tote bag. Givenchy has really evolved through the years in a fantastic way.

8. Burberry Crush Crossbody with Calf Skin, leather, hearts and gold hardware. I have seen this unique crossbody in endless magazines and have been obsessed with it ever since. To be honest, I never really like Burberry. I thought it was quite boring. Then I saw this magnificent thing and fell in love. All the materials in one and so fashionable, I didn't believe it was actually Burberry. Burberry has this exact same design in like 5 other colors and materials. This bag is a great show stopper.

Oh the songs you hear in Bloomies!

December 23rd 2013

Oh the songs you hear in Bloomies!
While shopping in the freezing cold, I decided to go into the one and only Bloomingdales. Of course to look at all the great accessories and clothes there but also to warm up a little from the 15 degree cold! At least i'm going to Florida on in two days! Anyways I was walking and heard this familiar tune. I was like, "I know this song! I heard it in Akira but I don't know the name!" My friend shazaamed it for me and voila. The creepiest cover art I've ever seen. Its two babies with strange eyes. The song though is so great and have probably listened to it 50 times since 5:30. When I was on youtube I found some great choreography I wanted to share with you all. I wish I was as talented as these groups. They have so much passion, energy and talent!
Enjoy xoxo Cam

New York City Girl: Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker
Even though she didn't grow up in New York City, everyone knows her as the "New York City Girl". From her beginnings to Sex and the City to now she has really made a great impression on everyone. She has appeared in countless fashion spreads, with her most recent in Harpers Bazaar. Anyone could see that Sarah has a fantastic sense of style, it is simple yet glamourous. Even when walking her adorable children to school. She was the talk of the town, when she wore a dress made by Prabal Gurung and Oliver Theyskens. Of course the dress was a triumph!
Sarah is truly a NYC girl.

Week of December 23 Obsessions......

Week of December 23 Obsessions

1. KARA Backpacks. Small backpacks are between $395-$420. Large backpacks are $600-$700.  https://www.openingceremony.us/products.asp?menuid=2&catid=24&designerid=1833 Sarah Law founded KARA the brand in 2012, New York City.  Sarah was raised in Hong Kong however she was born in California. She was educated at one of the best design schools; Parson in New York City and Paris. Sarah's designs are very modern and unique. The bags are made with the best leathers. KARA is versatile brand that offers great bags for young adults to Anna Wintour types. Everyone has been loving these bags especially me! I'm begging for a backpack for my birthday! PLEASE PARENTS PLEASE!

2. Made in Chelsea is seriously my life. I first saw it about a year ago on Style tv. They aired the first season and two episodes from the second. Then it just randomly ended. I was so upset but also really confused. I went on twitter to look up all the people and discover it was still a running show. They canceled it in the US because of ratings. Of course I'm the only one watching the show because I'm obsessed with London. Through out the past year I have been following the peoples lives on twitter and have been trying to find episodes on youtube. Finally last week I discover a user on youtube who would post the episode the day after it aired. MY LIFE WAS SAVED. I knew most of what was going on in the show since I read stuff on twitter and daily.uk. For the first two days of holiday I have watched about 10 episodes. I have been in heaven. Reality tv is my weakness but I just can't help it especially when there are british accents, hot guys and awesome outfits.

3. Beyonce's New Album is EPIC. She recorded her album in secret and released it last week. Of course it was instantly NUMBER ONE. No surprise. I can't stop listening to Drunk in Love featuring her husband Jay Z. The song has an indian vibe in it but also very sexy. Also I love the song Flawless featuring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie from Ted Talks. In the song Beyonce and Adichie are talking about women's right and femininity. The song has parts of Adichie's speech. The song is very empowering. There has been a lot of discussion about the song on the blog "Jezebel". There are many features on the album including a duet with Frank Ocean. Two of my favorites in one song! Frank Ocean wrote beautiful lyrics for the genuine song. The song is very calming and sweet. All in All Beyonce is the Queen of Music.

4. Nicole Miller's Pre-Fall 2014 Collection. This collection emphasizes of the current trend of plaid, velvet, flowers, purples, blacks, pinks and jewels. Everything about it screams street style. Street style has become way more popular, everyone is dressing more casual which doesn't include a pencil skirt and 4 inch heels. I'm sure you will see Miller's line all over fashion blogs and celebrities. These outfits are things I would totally wear. It embodies the new style of women in their 20's and 30's who work in a big city. Great designer. Great collection.

5. Miranda Kerr for the incredible and dynamic Terry Richardson. Miranda is already stunning but Richardson made her 10 times gorgeous than she already is. Making her beauty beyond incomparable. Richardson is known for taking controversial photos with Miley Cyrus to Barrak Obama. However I think his photos are fantastic especially in 35 mm format.

My last words for the night.........
